Customized action figure of a character of your choice. I will sculpt and paint the head so you can add it to a body of your choice. I start by purchasing a factory made head that is similar, than customizing it with resin and subtractive techniques. Then I paint the head, hair, and accessories. Cost varies by size, time, and quality. Please keep in mind that sculpting a realistic human head is essentially the most difficult thing to accomplish in art. If you want it to look really lifelike you need to pay for the Highest Quality because it takes a lot of time and skill. If the sculpture is going in a shelf display though you will probably be satisfied with Great Quality. If it is for a kid to play with then Good Quality will probably be enough. For example, the Opie character shown (blue bandana) is Great Quality on a 1:6 scale which is $300. Starting with a factory made head assures that the piece will fit on your action figure body and neck connection, and that it will be in scale.

I am a 3 dimensional sculptor of functional art. I work in many materials including wood, stone, steel, and plastics, with modern tools like 3D Printing, laser cutting, and CNC routing, in both the workshop and virtual spaces with VR sculpting software, 3D CAD, & BIM.

I am working on building projects with clients that will improve our world. We need to design things with respect to their social, environmental, and economic impact. This ranges from recycling and manufacturing plastics at home to carefully designing furniture for people & animals that really improves their quality of life, while minimizing their environmental cost.

I was very pleased with the end result of my carving project. Russell was professional, courteous, and was able to take what I wanted and make it a reality. My Buddha statue is now complete and has a place of notice on my bookshelf. Highly recommend.

Russell designed and built a wooden urn for my pets' ashes. He took a lot of care in collecting my design and construction preferences and transformed them into a beautiful object. He was communicative throughout to ensure the object was just what I wanted. And it is! It is a beautiful tribute from a wonderful craftsman and I will treasure it.
