New Heavy Duty Handcrafted Working Chinks
These new heavy duty handcrafted working chinks are available for immediate sale. New handcrafted pair of working chinks with all brass hardware. These chinks are adjustable from 39" to 47" around your hip area. They are 32" oal length in the center with 6" long fringe. These chinks are cut from 5 - 6 oz. soft black oiltan chap leather. The hip yokes, leg yokes & back belt are cut from 8/9 oz. vegtan leather. The yokes & back belt are fully hand tooled with a basket weave & barbed wire design, dyed saddle tan with dark brown antique. The 1 1/2" wide back belt is fully lined with the chap leather, glued & machine stitched & is attached with 3 brass rivets & stitched. Back 1 1/2" brass buckle is attached with 3 brass rivets & stitched. The 3/4" wide, 8/9 oz. black latigo leather front belt with 3 strap keepers has edges beveled & hand rubbed with 3/4" brass buckle. The holes that the front belt runs through is reinforced in between the chap leather & the yokes with vegtan leather for strength. Yokes are glued & machine stitched. Edges on yokes & back belt are beveled, hand rubbed & dyed black for a nice finished looked. 3 - 1 1/2" brass saddle conchos per leg. 3 - 3/4" wide leg straps per leg with 3 - 3/4" adjustable brass chap snaps & brass D rings. Each leg has a full leg support piece to help keep the leather from curling. 5" wide x 6 1/2" deep pocket with flap & brass button snap on left leg. Brass 1 1/2" Mecate ring on the left hip & a brass 1 1/2" tie string ring on the right leg. These chinks are Made in USA, made to last & are maker stamped. Included is a pre-cut & pre-punched repair kit of the strap pieces, cut from the same hide, just in case a piece should break on you. That way you can repair your chinks quickly & have all the same material if the need arises. SOLD

Howdy, my name is Eddie Hubbard. Some people call me Tex & some call me Hoss. I reckon that's what I get for being a Texas midget, huh. I am a Native Texan from the west Texas town of Lubbock for over 42 years. My Dad was from Texas & my Mom was from Tennessee. So I have the best of both worlds. I am a Texan 1st & a Volunteer 2nd so I always say remember the Alamo. I was your normal kid back in the old days. I was into athletics & competed in such as rodeo, football, basketball, baseball. I received my education at the school of hard knocks & am self taught in the leather work that I do.
Horses & the western way of life has always been a passion of mine. Ain't no prettier animal on earth in my opinion. I have always been impressed with the leather gear that went along with this lifestyle.
I am a maker of custom leather goods such as cowboy gear, hunting gear, musicians gear, biker gear, etc. I have been making custom leather goods for 20+ years now. It all started as a hobby for the needs of myself, my family, my friends & has grown from there. I enjoy taking raw materials & seeing what I can make out of it.
