people have made cloth dolls for over 2500 years. traditionally homemade by mothers for their children, rag dolls were made with scraps of fabric, clothing, or linens, and were a child's first toy. inspired by these original dolls, my rag dolls are made with simple, sustainable materials, and are designed to last. ******************************** traditional rag doll organic cotton muslin // lightly hand dyed with natural plant materials hand applied (stitched) spun alpaca , silk, and wool hair. pure ivory colored. clothing made from upcycled and vintage materials machine and hand stitched hand painted face // permanent application each doll is one of a kind // will be similar to doll pictured * custom dolls available, just let me know what you are looking for! * allow about one week for me to make your doll and send her out about 15" tall // about 12" to ends of arms. about 12" shoulders to tips of toes body is about 3" wide at widest part head is about 2.5" at widest part legs are about 7.5" long // arms are about 6.5" long

I am an industrial designer with a home workshop near Philadelphia, PA. I am a mother of two little boys, and a maker of things whenever I have a free hand.

I work with natural materials to create functional and meaningful pieces that will last a lifetime or longer. I allow the natural materials to "be themselves," or I let their natural characteristics become the character of the finished piece.

My pieces are sold in local boutiques and museum shops, as well as online.

Bri took the time to make this project special because she knew how much it meant to me and I really feel like a lot of love and care went into the whole process. Im really happy with the results.
