Mark did an excellent job. The hoof picks turned out even better than I was expecting. He delivered the goods ahead of schedule; I'm very pleased with his work and professionalism. Mark did an awesome job on my Fireplace tools. When I put the request in to Custom Made I didn't know what to expect since I have never been on this site before. Working with Mark was a pleasure, he made sure I received them in time for Christmas. He made them look exactly like the picture I sent him. I will definitely recommend Mark and I will be using him again in the future.

Re. Woodstove toolset built by Mark Carter: First some background that led to the project. We have a very nice woodstove w/ nickel plated spring handle, door trim and side vents. For last 5 years have been searching for a commercial toolset w/matching nickel spring handles. None to be found. Have looked at hundreds of sets. This year while googling sets again Custom Made showed up on the search (had not shown up on previous searches) w/an image of a set made by Mark Carter. Not what I had in mind but worth a contact. Mark responded that same day saying he could do whatever I needed. In three days plans were made and deal was sealed. Toolset was delivered 2 weeks later. Mark built the set with the tools I wanted in a slightly longer length than commercially available with the handles I had been looking for. The set he made is exactly what I had been looking for. Workmanship is outstanding and it looks custom made. It has been in use for over a month before this review so I can also report that the tools work better than those commercially available. Small things like the bend in the shovel handle and the angle and length of the hook on the poker are much more ergonomic than commercial sets. Sitting next to the woodstove, it looks like it belongs. All this at a price that I consider more than reasonable. Working w/Mark was so easy from begining to end I wish there were more stars to give. He has our highest reccomendation. Thanks Mark.

This was my first experience with Custom Made and in all honesty I wasn't expecting much when I put out my initial request (I figured, at worst that I would get no response at all and at best that it would take a while to get a response only to struggle through the details of getting everything to come together). Mr. Carter proved me wrong all the way around. I submitted my request and within about 3 days Mr. Carter contacted me to let me know that he would be willing to make what I requested. Over the next week there were one or two more times that he contacted me to get the specifics of what I needed/wanted and he went to work. A little over a week later he notified me that the project was done and would be shipping shortly and I received the finished product about a week later. All in, I think it took 4 weeks from initial request to product in hand and I couldn't be happier with it. What impressed me most is that everything was accomplished basically in the blind. While we did communicate via the Custom Made system, there were no drawings or truly in depth discussions about what to do or how the item should end up. I simply provided my required dimensions and left it to Mr. Carters knowledge and expertise to design and build something that would work for my purposes and the end product is exactly what I needed and wanted.
