.This is a rustic handcrafted American sourced, American Made, Soapstone Foot/bed warmer. 9 1/2" x 5 7/8" x 1 3/8" thick and a hefty 7 lbs. with built in handle. Modeled after the vintage warmers but in place of a metal handle it has a cut out for easy carrying. Simply place the stone near a heat source or even in a sunny window. Once it has absorbed the heat grab it with a towel or oven mitt and warm your feet, seat or bed. DO NOT PLACE DIRECTLY ON SKIN! DO NOT PLACE IN DIRECT FLAME! NOTE: All hand crafted stone items may show slight imperfections, sanding and tool marks.

My name is "McQuarry" and I create functional art with stone. The stone of choice is soapstone but I will work in other stones as well.
The soapstone I use is quarried less than 50 miles from my studio. This translates into better selection, lower freight charge and may qualify for LEED points.
I also have access to many different American Quarried stones if you are looking for an alternative to imported stone for your project.

Just a note for those out there looking for the same thing- soapstone is pretty hard to find, and even if you do find some at a place that has some- you'll need to get them to cut it and fabricate it. So cut to the chase and just order your pieces from Mark. He is perfectly set up to make these- and you'll save a lot of time and hassle. Mark was also expedient, and shipped the beautifully finished pieces to me in the most efficient manner possible. Thanks Mark!
